Delete your MuseumLog account

This page explains how to delete your MuseumLog account (developer: Alex Zhang) and what happens to your data when you do.

How to delete your account

In the App (immediate):

Open MuseumLog and sign in.
Tap your avatar to open your Profile.
Go to Settings → Account.
Tap Delete Account and type the confirmation word.

Your account and data are deleted right away. You do not need to contact us.

By email (if you can no longer open the App):

Send an email to museumlog.app@gmail.com from the email address on your account with the subject line “Delete my account”. We process these requests within 30 days and confirm by reply.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following is permanently removed:

Your profile (name, email address, language preference, avatar)
Your artwork logs and the photos you uploaded
Your notes, collections, and favorites
Learning data, including your daily lesson schedule and any lesson content generated from your own artworks
Push notification tokens, interaction logs, and usage counters
Purchase and entitlement records
Analytics events linked to your account identifier (if you opted in to analytics)

Our database cascade-deletes all user data when the account is removed.

What is kept, and for how long

Backups. Copies of deleted data may persist in routine database backups for a limited period before they are overwritten in the ordinary course of operations. They are not used to restore deleted accounts.
Nothing else tied to your account is kept.

Subscriptions and purchases

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Manage or cancel it in the app store you bought it from (Apple ID settings or Google Play subscriptions). Purchases tied to a deleted account cannot be transferred to a new account. Refunds are handled by the store under its policies.
